Hotel Transylvania 4 (also known by Hotel Transylvania 4), is a 2022 American computer animated adventure comedy film. It was produced and released by Amazon Studios by Sony Pictures Animation and Columbia Pictures. This is the fourth and last installment in Hotel Transylvania’s franchise, as well as the sequel to Hotel Transylvania 3 Summer Vacation (2018). The film was directed by Derek Drymon, Jennifer Kluska, and Genndy Tatakovsky, who made their feature-length directorial debuts.

It features the voices of Andy Samberg and Selena Gomez. Selena also served as an executive producer along with Michelle Murdocca and Tartakovsky. Dracula, Johnny and their transformations into monsters and humans, are shown in the film. They must find a way back to South America before their transformations become permanent.
The film was originally planned to be released theatrically on October 1, 2021 in the United States. But Sony Pictures Releasing canceled the release plans and sold the rights to Amazon Studios for $100,000,000. The film was exclusively released on Amazon Prime Video from January 14th 2022. It was theatrically released in China on April 3rd. The film, which grossed more than $18.5 million against a budget of $75million, was a box office bomb and became the most successful Hotel Transylvania movie to date. Also, the film received mixed reviews from critics.
Mavis is at the celebration of Hotel Transylvania’s 125th Anniversary when she hears Dracula talking about plans to retire and to leave the hotel to her. She tells Johnny about Dracula’s plans to renovate her hotel. Dracula, worried that Johnny would ruin the hotel’s reputation, tells Johnny that there is a monster real-estate statute which allows only monsters to own it.
Van Helsing decides he will help Johnny by using a ray which turns humans into monsters or vice versa. He tested it on Gigi the guinea pig and then he applies it to Johnny, who transforms into a dragon-like beast. Dracula discovers the truth about Johnny and attempts to restore him to normal. But Dracula accidentally transforms himself into a human, breaking the ray’s glass. Van Helsing tells Dracula, Johnny that they can still return to normal by getting a crystal from the Cave of Reflexion in South America. Dracula then sets off to do this.
